We thank members for participating in this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) that took place at Hill Street, Wrexham on Thursday 27th June 2024 and online via Zoom.
Chairperson’s report
Chair Barry Jones outlined that 2023 was a momentous year for both the Club and the Trust. Barry congratulated both the men and women’s teams for their respective promotions. The Board of the Trust concluded negotiations with the Club that resulted in members agreeing to surrender the lease on the Racecourse in December 2023.
Barry advised that the Club’s funding model they are operating to does not require supporter groups to finance particular items. This has allowed the Trust to redeem Community Shares with £99,000 refunded to date.
Barry confirmed that Trust membership increased during the year to 854 adult and 11 junior members from 599 at the end of December 2022.
Treasurers report
Treasurer Brian Philips presented the financial statements for 2023. This showed that income in 2023 was £19,682 with a surplus of £8,034 after deducting costs of £11,648.
Voting on resolutions
There were two resolutions at the AGM and this was a summary of the results:

WST Assets Accounts
Mark Williams presented the accounts for WST Assets for the year ending 31 December 2023. The accounts showed income of £115,000 and a profit of £1,166.
