Members of The Wrexham Supporters Trust will be pleased to know that board members have made proposals to the football club regarding equity purchase (Shareholding). The fact that the board wanted to take their proposal to the club was revealed at the January members meeting and was met with approval. The move towards possible equity purchase is not as straight forward as many might think: Indeed ,considerable time has had to been spent dealing with legal advisors /issues before any proposals could be laid with the Football Club.

There is not a set timescale with such a process but WST members will be kept informed regarding any developments

If the club are receptive to the WST moves towards equity purchase the matter will first have to be reported to the full WST board and then to members as a whole ,either at an Extraordinary General meeting or AGM. Considering what is at stake it seems vital for members to make sure their membership is up to date. Members will also be pleased to know that the WST board continues to support the club in special projects through the 50/50 funding scheme .

On the football front members will soon be receiving nomination forms for the Trust player for the season award . Details will be enclosed with the next newsletter . Members are reminded that the next ‹Å“Members meeting is to be held on Monday, April 14th .

It was unfortunate to learn that fellow Second Division club Rotherham Utd had gone into administration on Wednesday of this week. Their 10 point deduction does not affect Wrexhams position in the table . It is a sorry state of affairs to see yet another club in administration, in this case for a second time .
