Meeting with AM
Members of the WST board met with North Wales AM Janet Ryder on Monday evening to discuss the potential assembly support for the new Kop stand.
A WST spokesman stated;
"We met with Rhodri Glyn Thomas, Culture Minister, in Cardiff several months ago and he was broadly supportive of the new Kop project, although he stated that much depended on the club retaining its football league status."
Relegation to the BSP obviously makes the task of securing funding much more difficult. Janet outlined the need for a robust business plan to support any funding application and it was clear to us that some work needs to be done on this.
The new Kop is a vital part of the clubs overall recovery aside from the negative impact of having a three sided ground.
This meeting was the first of a series that the WST intends to hold with all political parties in North Wales in order to try and progress the new Kop project.
