Wrexham fans are supporting a new fund for manager Kevin Wilkin's campaign for promotion in the Club's 150th Anniversary year.

A number of anniversary events are planned through the year which will be focussed on providing additional funds on top of the regular playing budget, to secure footballing talent for the 2014/15 season.

Kevin Wilkin spoke of his ambitions for the club when he was appointed last month, and his key aim to take Wrexham FC back in to the Football League. Now fans are stepping up to the plate (or out of planes) to play their part in the "Budget Plus 150" campaign.

The first event to provide additional funds is the sponsored parachute jump being made by 5 plucky fans on Good Friday.

Leading the way will be Club Director, former Wrexham player and Welsh international, Barry Horne. Wrexham FC Commercial manager Steve Cook will closely follow Barry, and members of the Wrexham Supporters' Trust Board, Peter Howell and Anita Robinson will then follow him. Finally, Wrexham fan and the Declan Swans lead singer, Scoot, will make up the quintet.

150th Anniversary Chairman, and Club President, Dixie McNeil, said: "This is a great fundraising initiative for our 150th Anniversary, and again highlights how much this fans owned football club means to us all from the Board room to the fans. It's OUR Club.

"I hope that fans of the club will give Barry, Steve, Peter, Anita and Michael the support that they deserve doing this, as I there's no way I would jump out of a plane! I know that this is a big achievement for all five to make, as they have never done anything like this before. I hope that fans dig deep again to support them."

Fans can sponsor the quintet by filling in the sponsorship form in either the Club Shop or the Trust Shop, or by visiting
