After manager, Kevin Wilkin joined the Wrexham FC Membership Scheme in front of hundreds of fans at an open meeting in March, the entire first team squad has followed suit and renewed their membership to become co-owners of the club for the 2014/15 season.

At the pre-season photo call, the squad held up membership forms to promote the membership scheme. Chair of the newly named Wrexham FC Governing Body, Peter Jones said “we are delighted that the first team squad has decided to renew their membership. This demonstrates that everyone at the club is fully committed to its success on and off the pitch and are just as passionate about the fans ownership model as the rest of us”

Wrexham FC’s Governing Body have recently released a draft of its Strategic Plan for fans to comment on and contribute to. One of the objectives within the plan is to increase membership by 10% this year. Dave Jones from the Fans Ownership Group said “This is great news and will hopefully encourage those who haven’t already renewed for 2014/15 to do so and help us achieve our target increase.”

For a minimum of £12 a year - £1 a month - you can become a co-owner of Wrexham Football Club and also be entitled to some great benefits, such as being entered in a draw to become a Director for a Day at a home league game, and discounts at local businesses. By joining, you will be helping the club achieve its main goal of achieving promotion back to the Football League as the clubs financial model has been set so that any investment from the Governing Body into the Club will go directly into Kevin Wilkin’s first team budget.
