The 'Director's for the Day' against Woking were lifelong fans Paul Craddock and Ian Hughes who are both exiled in Leicestershire but try to follow the Town everywhere they can! Also joining Paul and Ian in the boardroom was Woking Trust Board member, Alan Barnes.
They were hosted for the day in the Boardroom and Director's box by WST Governing Body member Richard Ulrich who was recently elected to the board. Paul and Ian were both met by Richard in the club shop but Alan turned up fashionably late as his coach had got caught up in traffic on the way to the match.
Paul, Ian and Alan were introduced to Spencer Harris in the boardroom who kindly poured all three of the guests a drink at the bar. They were then also introduced to John Mills, Alan Watkin and Don Bircham.
The guests were then shown to their table where they enjoyed a lovely roast dinner and then it was time to watch the match and they were shown to their seats in the Director's box.
Alan was the first guest to cheer as Woking went 1-0 up from a Scott Rendell wonder strike on 24 minutes but then Louis Moult got Wrexham back in the game with an equaliser in the 38th minute. The second half started and Woking got the second half off to a good start and seemed to be the better team. Then on 66 minutes, Alan was cheering yet again as Dean Morgan put Woking 2-1 up and that's how the match finished.
Paul and Ian were obviously disappointed by the result but they both said how much they had enjoyed the experience of being a Director for the day and really enjoyed the opportunity of being able to see what happens behind the scenes on a match day. Alan said that he had spent a brilliant day with our great club and was very impressed by everything the Club and the WST are doing
