Wrexham AFC - Update on Ticket Sales for FA Cup Round 3 against Stoke City FC
Update as at Wednesday 17th December, 10pm.
This article contains important information for fans who have already purchased tickets, as well as those yet to buy tickets.
We would like to thank our fans for their patience during what have been some very busy days of ticket sales. Approximately 70% of ticket sales have been online, and we thank you for helping us to reduce the burden on the Shop and Club staff, enabling them to focus on fans with particular requirements or queries.
Sales for our allocation of 4,300 tickets have been very brisk, and we would like to update fans about some changes to the arrangements for Phase 1 (priority) sales and Phase 2 (general release).
We will continue to issue updates throughout the week - so please keep an eye on the Club & Trust websites and also follow us on Twitter: @Wrexham_AFCand @WSTtweets. We are also ensuring a high profile on the major fans’ forums to provide advice and answer questions this week (Red Passion and Spirit of 78 forums).
Please remember that some very detailed guidance on all the arrangements for this game is posted online here and updated regularly. This includes how to buy tickets, membership and coach travel online, and how to ensure groups are seated together in the allocated/reserved seats in the Britannia Stadium
Updated Sales Arrangements - to take effect from Thursday 18th December:
1. Due to the time taken to complete transactions in the Club Shop, new memberships will only be sold online from now onwards. This means you can not join the Club/Trust in the shop until after Christmas. Club Memberships (Adult, Youth and Junior Dragons) can all still be bought online here. Please read the above guidance, and ensure you buy one membership at a time and use a different email address each time. Memberships bought online will give immediate access to
2. Online ticket sales will close at 1pm on Saturday 20th December. This is to ensure that we have enough tickets available for people in the queue when general sales start after the Dartford game final whistle. This is a change to previous advice - and is a decision we have taken to ensure we can be fair to people queuing in person on Saturday.
3. Tickets bought online for collection/delivery will now be available for collection from next Monday 22nd December. They will start to be posted on this date also. This is a change to previous advice and we have taken this decision for two reasons. Firstly to ensure that any tickets bought as part of a group on any day up until Saturday can be grouped together (the previous requirement was for tickets to be bought the same day). Secondly, this reduces the pressure on our staff and volunteers in the Club Shop - which means we have been able to extend some evening opening times instead.
4. Club Shop opening times at the Cae Ras this week have been extended as follows:
Thursday 18th 10am until 4pm [no further additions to the queue after 4pm and we will stay open until we’ve serve everyone in the queue at that time.]
Friday 19th 10am until 7pm [no further additions to the queue after 7pm and we will stay open until we’ve serve everyone in the queue at that time.]
Saturday 20th 9am until 1pm - when Phase 1 (priority) sales close.
Final whistle at the Dartford game on Saturday 20th until the queue has been cleared - start of Phase 2 (general release). No requirement to be a Club Member or Season Ticket holder in this phase.
Normal shop opening times (10-4) on Monday 22nd, and Tuesday 23rd, when Phase 2 closes.
Please note that if all tickets have been sold earlier, then Phase 2 will close at that point.
Once again we thank our fans, who are the greatest in the world. These changes will help us to ensure that as many fans as possible can enjoy this match fairly and safely.
