Just a reminder that the Wrexham AFC Player of the Season Dinner is taking place on Saturday 16th May at the Maesgwyn Hall on Mold Road, Wrexham, LL11 2AF.
Our guest speaker on the evening is the former record British transfer fee holder Steve Daley who moved from Wolves to Manchester City for a record £1,437,500, signing a ten year contract, but leaving after just two years as it became obvious it wasn’t the most successful transfer in football!
He joined Seattle Sounders in the NASL, and played alongside the likes of Alan Hudson, Bruce Rioch, Kenny Hibbitt, David Nish, Roy Greaves, Peter Ward, Roger Davies and our very own Gary Mills! Steve was named in the 1982 and 83 ‘NASL All Star Team’ which included such greats as Beckenbaur, Neeskens, Gerd Muller, Carlos Alberto, Pele and George Best.
Steve Daley is considered to be one of the very best on the circuit. He is a fantastic entertainer, suitable for all audiences and even more importantly he is great company too!
Further to Steve we will have a top comedian and ventriloquist in Paul Levent, who is internationally acclaimed in cabaret, TV and theatre, receiving many coveted awards and has been applauded by his peers throughout his career. Paul a truly great entertainer.
Finally, we will have the Player of the Season awards presentation, with all Supporters groups making there awards on the night. New manager Gary Mills will also be there to enjoy the evenings entertainment.
We still have a few places left for this dinner, the cost for all this entertainment and a two course meal is just £30 per person.
Tickets are available from the Wrexham AFC club shop.
