WST AGM 2015 Election and Resolution voting results

As announced at Thursdays AGM, the results of the board elections and resolution voting are set out below.

Trust Board Election (there were seven candidates for the four vacancies on the board)

Number of valid votes cast on line = 1052

Number of valid votes cast via postal voting = 161  

Overall valid votes cast = 1213

The votes for each candidate were as follows:

Mike Dean   173

Dave Jones 206

Andrew Pierce 153

Stuart Roberts 146

Geoff Scott 208

Paul Smith 100

Robin Wiggs 227

Therefore Robin, Geoff, Dave and Mike were duly elected to the Trust Board.

Thanks to everyone who stood for election and also to Brian Burns of Chester FC who kindly oversaw the election process.

Resolution voting

There were seven resolutions. Members could vote online, by proxy or at the meeting itself. The full details of each resolution are set out in the downloads section/AGM 2015 on this website.

Resolution A (a resolution concerning the “bubble” travel arrangements)

For = 104

Against = 104

Abstain = 1

This motion was not carried.

Resolution B (a resolution concerning the “bubble” travel arrangements and kick off times)

For = 61

Against 139

Abstain = 8

This motion was not carried

Resolution C (a resolution concerning the timing of the publication of accounts)

For = 71

Against = 68

Abstain = 19

Resolution D (an alternative resolution concerning the timing of the publication of accounts)

For = 145

Against = 22

Abstain = 8

Resolution D was carried

Resolution E (a resolution concerning the circulation of details of a special general meeting)

For = 54

Against = 136

Abstain = 20

This motion was not carried

Resolution F (a resolution authorising investment in Wrexham AFC)

For = 220

Against = 3

Abstain = 2

This motion was carried

Resolution G (a resolution appointing the auditors)

For = 203

Against = 4

Abstain = 5
