#BuildTheBond is the theme for our opening ‘home’ fixture of season 2015/16 versus Torquay United on Tuesday 11th August at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium.
In the lead up to the new season Gary Mills has talked extensively about lifting the weight of expectation at Wrexham AFC and we want to help him and the team by lifting that load together. #BuildTheBond is about building unity between players, management and our fans at the start of the season that can help us towards our joint aim of promotion come May 2016.
We are urging as many of our loyal supporters as possible to get to the game on the 11th August [kick off 19:45pm] to welcome our new management team and players with a large and vociferous crowd.
Each and every one of us can contribute to #BuildTheBond by getting as many fans to pack the Racecourse as possible for the game, bringing friends and family members, flags and scarves to add colour to the occasion and giving our unconditional
support to the team for the 90 minutes as we aim to start the season on a high.
Captain Lee Fowler said “The lads all signed because they know what a big club Wrexham is and where we can take it. The
Wrexham fans have a massive part to play this season. Their backing can give the lads the confidence to go and play. It won’t always go as we want it to so sticking with us can make all the difference and give us the best chance to succeed together”.
Club Director Spencer Harris added “Making the new team feel at home quickly in their new surroundings of the Racecourse can help us get off to a good start next season. A big crowd and wall of noise will go a long way to achieving that aim.
Publilius Syrus [a famous writer from Roman times] said, ‘Where there is unity there is always victory’ so let’s pack out the Racecourse and Build that Bond!”
