Some weeks ago (and following the AGM) we invited applications from members to fill two co-opted positions on the Trust Board. Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest. The elected Board members decided to appoint Stuart Roberts and Mark Roberts to fill the two positions.

Stuart needs little introduction having previously served on the Board with particular responsibility for community matters. Most recently he has worked with our charitable partners and led the successful project to raise the funds to provide a headstone for the grave of former Wrexham player and Great War veteran, Bert Foster. Mark is new to the board and brings a wealth of managerial experience and strong community links. Stuart will continue to work with the community group whilst Mark’s main focus will be on fundraising. Both have recently attended their first Board meeting.

Just when we thought the Board was complete, elected Board member Geoff Scott (who has had a particularly successful time leading our fundraising efforts) was appointed as the Club’s new commercial manager meaning he has had to step down from the Board. As a result Paul Smith has now accepted the Board’s invitation to join them as a co-opted member. Paul (who has a wealth of sales experience) has previously been very active as a member of the fundraising group and he will continue to focus on fundraising.

The Board now looks like this:-

Peter Jones – Chair (elected)

John Mills- Vice Chair and Football Club Board (elected)

Alan Fox - Independent Secretary (appointed)

Keith Roberts –Treasurer (co-opted)

Spencer Harris - Football Club Board (elected)
