junior dragonsAt the members meeting on 2nd October WST board member Kevin Baugh provided members with an update on the hugely succesful Junior Dragons scheme.

"This time last year the Club did not have a young supporters club, therefore we at the WST thought it imperative that we make this an aim of ours to support and take over the running of the Junior Dragons.

We officially launched the Club at this year's Open Day collecting a grand total of 230 signatures on the day! Since then we have steadily grown and now we have in excess of 500 members!

We have members far and wide, our furthest member livivng in Belgium and a grand total of 56 members living in Chester!!!! We also have members as far north as Inverness and as far south as Kent.

On signing up for the club each child was given a free membership card, a welcome letter from Denis Smith, £5 off a child's home shirt, a Xmas party and the chance to become a ball boy/girl.

Our Xmas party is planned for 17th of December at the Brymbo Cricket Club and will include the chance to meet the players and grab their autographs!

This sort of thing does not happen on its own and I'm calling on all of you here tonight to lend a hand, wherever possible, in making this club a successful young supporters club and therefore ensuring the sustained success and survival of Wtrexham Football Club."
