NewJDwebYoung club members enjoyed an eggs-citing time at the Junior and Youth Dragons Easter Eggs-travaganza at Colliers Park on Thursday, 7th April. Over 20 young supporters took part in this free event which, due to bad weather, had to be moved inside Colliers Park.

The event began with the chance to vote for the Junior and Youth Dragons’ first ever Player of the Season. Two ballot papers were drawn out by Gary Mills, and the lucky winners, Maisie Scragg and Owain Pryce, can look forward to leading the team out as mascots for the final home game v’s Braintree. Also drawn out as a winner was Dylan Lewis, who will present the winning players with their awards on the pitch before the Braintree game. Congratulations to you all!

An egg hunt and game of musical chairs were also enjoyed by the kids, players and Wrex the Dragon who, despite his best efforts to cheat, failed to beat the sprightly youngsters!

Gary Mills also held a question and answer session and a range of gruelling questions were posed, such as ‘Would you ever manage Chester?!’ and ‘Who is your favourite Wrexham player?!’.

The event finished with the opportunity to watch Gary Mills and Darren Caskey put the players through their paces in a training session, as they prepare for Saturday’s vital promotion battle v’s Dover.

Our thanks go out to all young club members and their families for supporting this event and to the players and coaching staff for making us feel so welcome at Colliers Park. Special thanks also go out to the Co-op who provided us with free chocolate, which were shared out for all attending members to enjoy.
