The club, led by WST board member Stuart Roberts, are not only working actively to become a dementia friendly football club and sporting venue, we are also part of Dementia Friendly Wrexham. This is a steering group recently set up with the aim for Wrexham as a town, to become dementia friendly. Joining forces with the Alzheimer’s Society, the council, dementia care providers and retailers around the town, Dementia Friendly Wrexham will initially provide a safe and inclusive environment around the town centre and retail parks with increased awareness for the needs of people living with dementia.

This Dementia Awareness Week we're encouraging anyone who is worried about dementia to confront their concerns and get in touch with Alzheimer's Society.
Hundreds of thousands of families are touched by dementia every year and many people don't know where to turn. We know dementia can be scary but you don’t have to face it alone.
