Wrexham Supporters Trust take ownership of a 99 year lease of the Racecourse Ground on Monday 1st August 2016. To celebrate the occasion Wrexham Football Club will be holding their Annual Open Day at the Racecourse Ground.
The gates on the Club car park side of the ground will open at 5.30pm when fans will be able to tour the Racecourse and view the rooms and facilities on both the Yale Stand side of the ground and the Mold Road side of the ground.
The manager Gary Mills and his players will all be in attendance and you can meet them in the rooms around the ground and have autographs and photographs with the players.
Club sponsors Ifor Williams Trailers will also be attendance with their community trailer for fans to try their footballing skills, as will the Racecourse Community Foundation.
Sadly there will be no training session at The Racecourse due to the pitch still needing a little more time (you can see for yourself how well its growing!). However, fans are invited along to the new Stansty training ground to watch the team training from 1.30pm.
There will also be a question and answer session with the Manager, and his assistant Darren Caskey, along with some players in the Centenary Club at 7.30pm.
A Club spokesperson said; “It’s great news that we have taken on a 99 year-lease for the ground, and we are thankful to Glyndwr University for making the deal possible. The Open Day is for fans to get a feeling of all our ground, and this year they can also view all the facilities in the Mold Road Stand as well as having the opportunity to meeting the Manager and his players, as well as Football Club and Trust Board members on their tour around the stadium. We hope as many fans as possible turn up to support this event which is free of charge.”
