Wrexham Disability FC Players Make The Welsh Squad

Wrexham Disability Football Club Staff and Players are proud to announce that all 4 of our players made the welsh squad in some capacity!

On Sunday 9th April 2017, the club learnt that David John Povey, Jordan Wright and Jamie Hall all made the Wales LD (learning disability) Squad, whilst Aron Hall is named on the standby list.

This means that on Monday 17th April, The Trio will fly out from Birmingham Airport to Dublin to take part in a Home Nation International Tournament where they will come up against the likes of Republic Of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The Trip will last 5 days in total.

Manager Carl Austin Said "Well done to all the lads who now have a massive opportunity to represent their country in a few weeks, They have worked so hard to get to where they are and it's brilliant for them to get their just rewards. They have grown into fine young men in the last year and their attitude and contribution to our club has been fantastic! I'm hopeful Aron still has a strong chance and he must be proud because he has come on so much in the last year and won our player of the year so hopefully it will work out for him"

Wrexham Disability Football Club would like to put on record our sincere thanks the staff at St Christophers In Wrexham who have supported these lads brilliantly
