The Junior Dragons held their first ever away day with a trip to see the Reds in action at Guiseley. All members aboard their specially designated coach left Nethermoor Park happy following the Dragons’ 2-0 win that sent them to the top of the National League table.
The fun began on the road to Yorkshire with a football quiz and plenty of songs to warm up the vocal cords! A free draw to be the official away mascot was also held and was won by 11 year old, Evan Beake.
During the game Junior Dragons and their families were in fine voice amongst the 700+ members of the travelling Red Army. Goals from Chris Holroyd and Junior Dragon Ambassador, Shaun Pearson, sealed an impressive 2-0 victory that left all on the journey home with sore throats but happy faces!
Thanks to all our members for being such polite and passionate young supporters. We’d also like to thank Guiseley FC for their hospitality and to the Former Players’ Association for donating raffle prizes.
We are already looking forward to arranging our next trip!
