Dean Keates signs 3.5 Year Contract at Wrexham AFC

dean keates2We are delighted to announce that this evening at the Wrexham Supporters Trust Members Meeting manager Dean Keates put pen to paper on a three and a half year contract as First Team Manager of Wrexham AFC.

Dean has significantly changed the fortunes of the team and transformed the squad in the January transfer window bringing a new mentality and approach which has resulted in a surge up the table over recent weeks. He brings a long and successful pedigree of football experience spanning over 20 years and has won promotion six times with three clubs in that time. Dean played over 150 times for Wrexham AFC as an outstanding captain and has taken that professionalism and dedication into management.

Wrexham AFC Director Spencer Harris commented: “Extending Dean’s contract for three and a half years is brilliant news for Wrexham AFC. In a short period of time, Dean has stamped his authority on the team and along with his coaching staff have brought a modern day approach to coaching and player development. We believe that approach will be very successful for the club.”

“Dean gets the football club and its fans and is working extremely hard on taking us in the right direction. His approach is very much to get everybody together as one team: Fans, Board, Staff and Players to give us the very best chance of success”
