Stephen Lloyd

Hello everyone, I am Stephen Lloyd, Wrexham born and bred and am proud of both my local and Welsh roots. I attended my first game at The Racecourse in 1975 with my dad and brother when we beat the league leaders at the time, Sheffield Wednesday, 3-0 and I’ve been hooked ever since. I am married to Heather and have a daughter, Natalie, who were both keen fans in the 90’s and early 2000’s, still occasionally attending games when time allows although both are WST members.

I was voted onto the WST governing body in 2018 and hope to repay the faith shown in me by my fellow supporters on the Community sub group. I believe the club will continue to grow in strength with the passionate support which the Wrexham fans offer and being fan owned allows all of us to keep the football club at the heart of the community, promoting a set of values which every supporter can feel a part of.

I currently work for Powys Teaching Health Board as a Mental Health Nurse for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based in Newtown, having previously worked in North Wales in the same role and am very passionate about the work I do. The role of the Mental Health Nurse has many different facets but excellent communication skills and building relationships are some of the most important aspects which I aim to use to benefit the Football Club, supporters and community. I would encourage supporters to become actively involved with volunteering should they have the capacity to do so as together.
