Eddie May Autobiography

flyer1Former City manager Eddie May was working on his autobiography for some while before his unexpected death this year. It was his wish that his story be told and now it has: Eddie May: My Story is the official autobiography.

The autobiography of former Wrexham captain Eddie May will be on sale at both the club shop and Trust shop this coming Saturday.

Eddie was working on his autobiography for some while before his unexpected death earlier this year. It was his wish that his story be told and now it has: Eddie May: My Story is the official autobiography.

Retailing at just £8.99 it will rekindle the memories of many Wrexham fans who were lucky enough to watch the towering centre-half play in the red shirt in the late 60s and 1970s.

He captained the side to promotion in 1970, scoring the goal that clinched promotion in a 1-1 draw on the Racecourse with Oldham Athletic.

He then led the side to win the Welsh Cup and qualify for Europe for the first time in the clubs history in 1972.

He played in two European Cup-Winners Cup campaigns, the last in 1976 when Wrexham reached the quarter-finals of the competition, going out to Belgian giants Anderlecht 2-1 on aggregate.

The colossus of a defender is proudly installed in the Wrexham Hall of Fame.
