foodbank-logo-Wrexham-logoWrexham fans are being asked to “Bring a Tin” to next Monday night’s FA Cup match at the RaceCourse, in support of Wrexham Food Bank and the Salvation Army.

Non-perishable items of food will be collected by volunteers from the Wrexham Supporters Trust outside the ground, prior to the 7.45pm kick off, and donated to the food bank to help local people facing hardship this Christmas.
Terry Stott, from the Supporters Trust said “Wrexham fans are well known for their generosity and the WST are proud to support a wide range of local community initiatives. We are asking each fan to “Bring a Tin” or other food item to the game, and we will pass them on to the foodbank. We think this is another first for a football club in the UK, and will be asking our opponents on the night to support us in this also.”
The Trust will be running a Twitter and Facebook campaign to draw attention to the collection, and the important work of the Food Bank. Please help by sharing and retweeting #Bring_a_tin.
In particular the FoodBank are asking Wrexham fans to donate items from the following list:
•Milk (UHT or powdered)
•Sugar (500g)
•Fruit Juice (carton)
•Pasta sauces
•Sponge pudding (tinned)
•Tomatoes (tinned)
•Rice Pudding (tinned)
•Tea bags/instant coffee
•Instant mash potato
•Tinned meat/fish
•Tinned vegetables
•Tinned fruit
•Biscuits or snack bar.
Please remember to bring whatever you can on Monday night to help the Food Bank this Christmas.
