We move into our final home match of the regular season with our promotion ambitions still alive and our ‘My Racecourse game’ to look forward to. We need to win to have any chance and a big and vociferous crowd can help us achieve that aim and take it to the last game of the season.
So how are sales for this match going?
We have already sold 3,000 tickets for the game prior to the usual rush on a Thursday / Friday - this is indicating we are heading towards a great attendance. In addition:
- Our Bamford’s hospitality suite is FULL
- The Altitude hospitality suite is FULL
- Every hospitality box is FULL
We are getting messages of support from many many fans who are bringing family and friends with them to the game and expect it to be a great atmosphere.
What will happen on the day?
On the day we will celebrate some great moments in the history of Wrexham AFC at the Racecourse Ground with lots to entertain you and all your family. We will have lots of former players on hand and if you want to meet them why not make your way to the 1873 suite in the MRS before the game? They will be there from 1pm until 2:30pm so come and get some photos with the idols of your youth before they take the field and be accompanied by music from the different Racecourse eras.
At half time Mickey Thomas will be recreating the goal versus Arsenal on the pitch and we will have 40 youngsters living their dream of playing at the Racecourse in front of the KOP!
During the game we are encouraging fans to recreate the chant of ‘we shall not be moved’ to celebrate that the Racecourse is back under our control.
As you enter the Ground Wrex the Dragon & Rockin Robin will be on hand to welcome supporters young and old (don’t forget your camera to get a shot of them!) and to get yourself a souvenir programme in the style of the Arsenal game from all those years ago.
What is the My Racecourse game?
We are asking supporters to come out and support the game to give us a good start on closing the financial gap introduced by our purchase of a 99 year lease on the Racecourse ground. Any income above our budgeted figure for this game will count towards our £200k target.
