HOSPITALITY AT THE RACECOURSE

 Bamford’s

With Wrexham Football Club taking over the running of the Racecourse on 1st August behind the scenes we have been analysing our hospitality areas for Season 2016/17. Bamford’s in particular was very successful last season where demand exceeded supply and the maximum of 121 was exceeded for most games and on a couple of occasions we had nearly 170 seated.

• We have looked at similar size clubs and noted that most do not offer Season Ticket upgrades or meal only tickets and most clubs charge significantly more than we do for Hospitality packages,.Chester, for example, in their Legends Lounge which is similar to our Executive Lounge offer a three course meal for £55, a Season Ticket upgrade for £40 and just a dinner only for £30.

• In comparison last Season we had similar offers for £40, £23 and £15 which highlights even though Bamford’s was full we made very little profit.

We have decided to make a few changes for next Season. Match day price for Bamford’s is now £45 and we will be offering a meal only option for Executive Box holders only and the Season Ticket upgrade will move from £23 to £30 subject to availability. Concessions for over 64’s is £30 for the Bamford package. All these prices are still significantly cheaper that similar clubs.

We hope that fans will understand that making the Ground work will strengthen your club and understand the reason for the changes.

Please book early to avoid disappointment and join us on Saturday for what will be a memorable first game of the season with the ground under your ownership.

Fans hospitality in MRS 1864 suite at MyRacecourse starts this Saturday with Gary ‘Psycho’ Bennett and a 2 course meal at just £10

Mold Road Stand Ad

Analysis has shown us that the 1864 suite in the MRS Stand is one of the most underutilised areas in the Racecourse on a match day apart from for drinks in the 15 minute slot at half time.

As part of our ‘MyRacecourse’ campaign we intend to change all that and with demand so high in Bamford’s we will return the suite to its intended use and is available for booking NOW on 01978 280154 . There are just 60 spaces per game and at the open day last night we took 26 bookings for the first game of the season so please book quickly to avoid disappointment as at this price we believe this will be extremely popular with supporters! This will be available for every home game from now on with a different guest each game.

So who is this for? At £10 for a two course meal (main meal and dessert) , it is priced to be affordable for everybody, without the 'pomp and circumstance' of the offerings in the Bamford suite, this is fans hospitality and so there will be no formal dress code. Come in your Wrexham top and jeans or dress up if you are having a special occasion the choice is yours! We are especially proud that this now opens up hospitality for our disabled supporters in the ground on matchday.

So how will it work?

  • You need a valid match day ticket for the MRS stand either pre-purchased ticket or season ticket (if you have a season ticket in another stand and want to join in you’d need to pay the admin fee to transfer seat to the MRS for that game and if in a cheaper seated area the upgrade price to MRS)
  • You arrive at the MRS entrance for 1pm to be given your 1864 pass for the game  and whichever match showing on Sky or BT Sport will be being shown live as you arrive
  • You will be hosted by Pete Jones (Chair of the Trust) and the guest of the day which will be Psycho Gary Bennett this Saturday V Dover Athletic
  • You will be served a two course meal (with vegetarian option)
  • There is a fully stocked bar for you to purchase drinks  and to pre-order your half time drink as you come back in to escape the cold
  • After the game you come back into the 1864 suite to have your post match drinks and discuss the game, where the 5:15pm TV game will be on show

We understand that this means for some fans who have traditionally used the 1864 suite for a half time bar will no longer be able to use it unless they have taken the hospitality package. However we will be opening more outlets in the concourse under the MRS to compensate. We hope that fans will understand that making the Ground work will strengthen your club and understand the reason for the changes.

Please book early to avoid disappointment and join us on Saturday for what will be a memorable first game of the season with the ground under your ownership.
