WST AGM 2024 Update

Reminder of deadline to submit nominations for the Society Board

Further to our previous announcement, we can confirm that nominations for the Society Board closes tomorrow, Monday, 20th May 2024.

Wrexham Supporters Trust is the largest supporters’ group of Wrexham AFC with 800 members. As an elected Board Member, you will be representing members on the following matters:

  • Community Advisory Board discussions with the football club;
  • Working at a national level with the Football Supporters Association (FSA) on the new Independent Football Regulator (IFR);
  • Liaising with the FSA on other campaigns that impacts football supporters;
  • Implementing the new covenant over the Racecourse Ground.

In addition, the Board would like to recruit members with specific knowledge of social media, public relations and web site development.

All Board meetings take place online in the evenings and last no more than 90 minutes. It is anticipated that a meeting will take place at least once every six weeks.

The Secretary contact each nominee on receipt of their application to discuss the next steps in line with the Board Election Policy. This will involve validation of nominees and submission of statements to the Election Committee for approval.

Request for Resolutions from Members

The AGM of the Society allows member resolutions to be proposed to the wider membership providing it is in accordance with Rule 27 of the Society. If you would like to submit a specific resolution to the AGM then please e-mail the Secretary mark.williams@wst.org.uk with the subject “Resolution for the AGM” by Monday, 20 May 2024.

AGM Notice

The AGM will be held on Thursday, 27th June 2024 and details of the venue and arrangements, including voting, will be announced in an official notice once candidates have been confirmed by the Election Committee.
