The Junior Dragons and Wrexham Rubies are delighted to announce details of an exciting joint fundraising event. We would like to invite members of both groups to take part in a sponsored walk at Ty Mawr Country Park on Sunday, 22nd September, at 10am.
The scenic 4km walk will start from Ty Mawr Visitor Centre and follow the River Dee to the foot of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. The walk is mostly flat and on good paths and will be led by Junior Dragon and Rubies volunteers. However, Junior Dragon members who sign up to the fundraiser must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times on the walk.
Although this is a free event, we are asking all members who sign up to the walk to raise sponsorship money. All profits made from the event will be split equally between the Junior Dragons and Wrexham Rubies supporters’ groups.
For organisational and safety reasons, there will be a limit of 30 Junior Dragon members and 30 Wrexham Rubies members accepted on this event. These places will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
